Hoces Del Río Duratón Natural Park

HOCES DEL RÍO DURATÓN NATURAL PARK

If I had to choose one of the most beautiful nature spots in Spain, doubtlessly I would recommend visiting Hoces Del Río Duratón Natural Park in Segovia, which it is located about 1 hour and 30 minutes driving distance from Madrid. This Natural Park reaches the towns of Sebúlcor, Carrascal del Río and the cultural famous town of Sepúlveda.

This Nature Park is a big land of 5,037 hectares, where it’s located its famous stunning canyon, with 100 meters high gorges, that were formed by the Duratón River. It is also a remarkable place because it is home to a population of griffon vultures; over 700 vultures guard the gorges. Definitely these griffon vultures are the most iconic animal around.

SHOOTING WITH A 12MM FIXED FOCAL LENGTH LENS

This time I decided to pick up the widest-angle lens I have: the Samyang 12mm f/2 NCS CS for Fujifilm. That’s a cheap manual-super sharp lens, very appropriate for shooting landscape photography. Indeed, that lens fits perfectly on my Fujifilm XT-2 camera, an amazing combination. Hoces Del Río Duratón Natural Park has amazing views, that’s the reason why a wide-angle lens is a must for this place.
